West of Limassol, where the Kouris river reaches the plain and the road to Paphos passes vineyards and citrus groves, Erimi has a gentle rural feel. Some of the island's oldest history lies in its fields, yet the city is only a short drive away.

Erimi is a village and municipal district of the Kourion Municipality. It lies partly in the Limassol District and partly within the British Sovereign Base Area of Akrotiri, and had a population of a little over 3,100 at the 2021 census. Its neighbour is Kolossi, home to the medieval castle built by the Knights Hospitaller and rebuilt in 1454, which is linked with the history of Commandaria wine. Erimi itself is known to archaeologists for its Chalcolithic settlement at Erimi-Pamboula and several Bronze Age sites.

Getting around is easy. The A6 motorway runs nearby, linking Erimi with central Limassol to the east and with Paphos and its airport to the west. The old Limassol–Paphos road also passes through the village, giving local access to Kolossi, Episkopi and the ancient site of Kourion.

Lifestyle here mixes countryside and culture. The Cyprus Wine Museum, housed in a traditional stone building on the old Paphos road, tells the story of winemaking in Cyprus, which, according to the museum, stretches back some 5,500 years in this area. Kolossi Castle, the Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates and Kourion, with its theatre above the sea, are all close by, and the beaches of the Akrotiri peninsula and Kourion are within a short drive.

Daily needs are covered in Erimi and the neighbouring villages, which have supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies and local services. Larger shopping centres, hospitals and private schools are found in Limassol and in nearby Ypsonas, all within easy driving distance.

The property market offers more space than the city. There are village houses, detached family homes and villas on larger plots, as well as newer developments of townhouses and apartments. Prices are generally more accessible than in central Limassol, and the rural setting appeals to buyers who want gardens and quiet surroundings without being isolated from shops, schools and work.

Erimi suits families looking for a house with a garden near the city, retirees who enjoy history and countryside, professionals working in western Limassol or Episkopi, and buyers who want easy access to both Limassol and Paphos.
